I have recently joined a Gurdjieff Bennett group in Toronto that does the usual things like Group Meetings and Gurdjieff Movements Classes. However, they are also doing something that seems completely new to me called Kesdjan Body Exercises. These exercises are supposed to help a person develop a Kesdjan Body. Does anyone have any experience with this and if so can they tell me what to expect?

Kesdjan Body is another term for astral body, or the energetic body or the strength and luminosity of the auric field (see links above)

Re: Kesdjan Body Exercises
Sat, December 13, 2008 - 5:16 PMThe Kesdjan Body is the Light Body a temporary receptacle for light to be coated traditionally through "conscious labor and intentional suffering"*. The Kesdjan Body can be depleted and/or used up sometimes causing the essence to remain on a denser level of existence – mainly remaining a ghost. Gurdjieff said (in Beezlebub) that the Kesdjan Body is a go between for the coating of the Soul’s Body. That the soul is incomplete and must be coated with the light form the Kesdjan Body. Reincarnation is the mission of one’s Essence to return with a Kesdjan Body to coat with Light.
A good example of Conscious Labor and Intention Suffering was Christ’s mission of unconditional love…
If there is enough Light within a Kesdjan Body extraordinary feats can be accomplished, however they are dangerous if one des not know what one is doing.
