  yeah i have a beat up old paperback copy. read it in my teens, have dipped back into it a couple times.
  
  nearly impossible to read all the way through -- too much mashed up language. but fun. psychedelic bombs dropped on europe by the saudis -- every body goes insane, society largely breaks down, a rock star/car racer becomes a prophet... or something like that...
  
  references to ouspensky and the kundalini -- get the impression aldiss was probably in some group at some point.
